Our Support

Our dedicated staff empower young people to reach their full potential through flexible and person-centred key-work sessions, as well as tailored therapeutic support packages. We focus on helping young individuals develop essential life skills that enhance their ability to secure permanent housing, gain employment, and achieve full independence as they transition into adulthood. To provide the best support possible, we employ a variety of methods for recording, monitoring, and communicating progress. This approach enables us to identify alternative strategies when necessary. We actively participate in meetings with our young people, accompany them to appointments, and promote positive interactions with all professionals involved in their care.

How We Support Young People

Each young individual is allocated a key worker—a designated member of staff with whom they will collaborate closely throughout their support journey. The young person will engage with their assigned key worker on a weekly basis to review their progress and strategise for the future.

Getting Used To New Accommodation

We provide support with understanding and managing security, accessing local services, being a good neighbour and sharing amenities.

Household Skills

Young people are supported in learning how to use electrical appliances, doing laundry, cooking & meal planning, storage of food and cleanliness.

Budgeting & Money Management

Each young person's keyworker will help them with budgeting, paying bills, general money management including debt advice.

Education & Employment

We support young people in accessing education and employment, attending interviews, preparing cv and career guidance.

Health & Wellbeing

Our support also includes helping young people register with general practitioners, attending medical appointments, and promoting their wellbeing.

Religion & Culture

We support young people to maintain their culture and religion while encouraging their participation in celebrations, traditional and religious festivals.

Emotional & Social Matters

We discuss any personal or emotional concerns and support young people by signposting them to appropriate services where necessary. We also help in accessing social activities in the local area or beyond.

Personal Hobbies & Interests

Our team encourages each young person to pursue their interests and hobbies. We support young people in exploring new hobbies and cheering them on every step of the way.

Staying Connected With Loved Ones

We encourage young people to stay connected with their loved ones. If agreed upon, staff members support and facilitate contact with family and friends, encouraging attendance of social gatherings.

Community Integration

Navigating the local community is crucial for personal development and social inclusion. Familiarising with essential local amenities such as shops, parks, leisure centres etc. Support in utilising public transport systems.

Personal Goals

Our ultimate goal is to assist each individual in achieving the best possible outcomes. Our staff is very supportive in helping young people make good decisions, also offering encouragement, guidance and help to overcome barriers along the way.

Moving On

As much as we would love for our young people to stay with us, there will come a time when young people must live independently. We will offer support and guidance to take the next step, whether this is into their own accommodation or 18+ shared accommodation.
